Data Deletion
How to remove your data from Join Postly — including data we receive from Facebook and Instagram.
1. What we store
When you connect a Facebook Page or Instagram account, Join Postly stores the account ID, name, username, profile picture, an encrypted access token and the app-scoped ID of the Facebook user who connected it. Comments, messages, insights and lead details are read live from Meta and are not stored. Media is deleted automatically after a post is published.
2. Disconnect an account in Join Postly
Log in, open Connected Accounts and click Disconnect next to the account. Its access token and account details are deleted from our database immediately.
3. Remove Join Postly from Facebook
On Facebook, go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations, find Join Postly and click Remove. Meta notifies us automatically and we delete the stored access tokens right away. If you also ask Facebook to delete the data Join Postly received, we delete the connected Pages and Instagram accounts and Facebook gives you a confirmation code you can check on our status page.
4. Delete your whole account
To delete your Join Postly account and all associated data (posts, connected accounts, leads and settings), email us from the address you signed up with. We confirm the request and erase everything.
5. How long it takes
Disconnecting is instant. Full account deletion requests are completed within 30 days, and we email you once it is done.
6. Contact
Send deletion requests or questions to info@joinpostly.com.
