Every network's limits in one place — which post types it supports, how many photos fit in a post, maximum video length and file size, photo size and caption length — plus Join Postly's own upload and scheduling limits.
1 GB per file
Upload photos and videos up to 1 GB each. Uploads are resumable — if your connection drops, they continue where they stopped.
2,000 scheduled posts
Fair use: up to 2,000 posts waiting in the queue per account at any time. Published posts free up space automatically.
Some networks cap how many posts one account can publish through scheduling tools in a day. Other networks don't publish a fixed number but may slow down accounts that post very frequently.
| Platform | Daily cap per account |
|---|---|
| 100 posts per 24 hours (a carousel counts as one) | |
| Threads | 250 posts per 24 hours |
| X (Twitter) | 2,400 posts per day (including replies and reposts) |
| TikTok | About 15 posts per day |
Caps are set by each network and can change; figures are approximate.

There's no fixed limit for posting in the app, but scheduled and API-published posts are capped at 100 per account in any 24-hour period (a carousel counts as one). For reach, 1–2 quality posts a day is plenty for most accounts.
Based on the limits Join Postly publishes with: Instagram Reels 3 sec – 15 min, Facebook Reels 3 sec – 90 sec, YouTube Shorts up to 3 min (vertical only), and TikTok videos 3 sec – 10 min when posted through a scheduler.
Each file can be up to 1 GB. Uploads are resumable, so a dropped connection picks up where it left off instead of starting again. Join Postly then checks every platform's own size limits before scheduling.
Fair use allows up to 2,000 scheduled posts per account at any time — far more than most teams queue up. Published posts don't count toward it.
Yes, networks update their limits from time to time. This page is generated from the same rules Join Postly uses to validate posts, so it's updated whenever those rules change.
Join Postly checks every post against these limits before it's scheduled — so nothing fails when it's time to publish.
