Frequently asked questions
Where does Instagram cut off a caption with "more"?
In the feed Instagram shows about the first 125 characters or two lines of a caption, whichever comes first, then "… more". Put the hook and any key information in that first part.
How much of a LinkedIn post shows before "see more"?
About 210 characters or three lines on desktop, and a little less on phones. The preview uses those numbers, so treat the cut-off as a close estimate rather than an exact pixel match.
Is the photo I add to the previewer uploaded?
No. The image is read by your browser and shown with a local link that only your device can open. Close the tab and it's gone; nothing is sent to Join Postly.
Why does my real post look slightly different from the mockup?
Each app changes its design often and draws text differently on every phone. The mockups follow each network's current layout closely, but fonts, line breaks and image crops can vary a little on your device.
