Frequently asked questions
How does a page pass Core Web Vitals?
At the 75th percentile of real visits, LCP must be 2.5 s or less, INP 200 ms or less and CLS 0.1 or less. All three have to be good for the page to pass.
How long until Core Web Vitals improve after a fix?
Real-user data covers the last 28 days, so a fix shows fully after about four weeks. The lab test shows the effect straight away.
Do Core Web Vitals affect rankings a lot?
They're one of many signals and rarely beat relevance. Between similar pages, a fast, stable page has the edge, and it keeps more visitors, which matters on its own.
