Frequently asked questions
Where do the FAQ questions come from?
From question patterns grouped by search intent (what, how, why, cost, comparison, best, how long, can I, where and common problems), filled in with your topic, plus any lines ending in a question mark on the page you add. For questions people really search, use Questions Explorer in Postly Rank.
Why are some answers in brackets?
The tool doesn't make up facts about your business. Each answer is an outline with [gaps] for your prices, times and details. Answers that still have gaps are left out of the schema until you fill them in.
Will FAQ schema give my page rich results in Google?
Probably not on its own: since 2023 Google shows FAQ rich results mainly for well-known government and health sites. The markup is still valid structured data that search engines and AI assistants can read, and a clear FAQ section helps visitors.
Do the FAQ answers have to be visible on the page?
Yes. Google's guidelines say FAQ markup must match questions and answers that visitors can see on the page. Paste the same text into a visible FAQ section and the JSON-LD into the page's HTML.
How many questions should an FAQ section have?
Usually 4–8 real questions that customers ask before buying or booking. A short list of specific, honest answers beats a long list of filler questions.
