What is llms.txt?

Do ChatGPT and Google use llms.txt?
None of the major AI search engines has confirmed using it for answers so far. Some AI tools and developer assistants do read it. It's cheap to add, but crawlable pages and clear content matter far more.
Should I make an llms-full.txt as well as llms.txt?
Only if you have content worth reading in one go, such as documentation. llms.txt is a short index of links; llms-full.txt holds the full text of your key pages in one Markdown file, so a model can read everything without visiting each page.
