Responsive screen preview
Enter a web address to see the page at real phone, tablet, laptop and desktop widths, scaled to fit your screen, and rotate it to landscape. It runs in your browser. Some sites block being shown in a frame, and the tool says so.
How to use the Responsive Screen Preview
- 1Enter the address of the page you want to check, such as yoursite.com.
- 2Pick a device size, from a small phone to a full HD desktop, and rotate it if needed.
- 3Scroll inside the frame to check the menu, text size and buttons.
- 4If the frame stays blank, the site blocks framing: open the page in your browser's device mode instead.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the preview blank for some websites?
Many sites send a header (X-Frame-Options or a Content-Security-Policy frame-ancestors rule) that forbids showing them inside another page, to protect against clickjacking. The browser obeys it, so those sites can't be previewed here.
Is this the same as testing on a real phone?
It shows the layout at the phone's width, which catches most responsive problems. It doesn't change the browser's user agent or touch behaviour, so do a final check on a real device.
Which screen widths should I test my site at?
At least 360 pixels (small Android phones), about 390–430 pixels (most iPhones), 768 pixels (tablets) and 1366 pixels or wider (laptops). The device list here covers all of them.
