Meta tags analyzer with SERP snippet preview
Enter any web page to check its title, meta description, canonical, robots, Open Graph and X tags, with clear fixes. See how the page could look in Google, with title and description widths estimated in pixels, as Google truncates them.
How to use the Meta Tags Analyzer
- 1Enter the address of the page you want to check, such as yoursite.com/pricing.
- 2Read the checks: each tag is marked good, worth improving or missing, with a short fix.
- 3Look at the Google preview. Edit the title and description there to try new wording before you change your site.
- 4Copy the share link to send the report to a colleague or client.
Frequently asked questions
How long should a title tag be?
Aim for about 50–60 characters. Google cuts titles by width, not characters (roughly 580 pixels on desktop), so a title full of wide letters like W and M is cut sooner. The preview estimates the width for you.
How long should a meta description be?
About 140–160 characters, or up to roughly 920 pixels on desktop. Google often rewrites descriptions, but a clear one that matches the page is still used most of the time.
Why does the analyzer say it couldn't read my page?
The page may block automated visits, need a login, take longer than 8 seconds, or ask bots not to visit it in robots.txt, which JoinPostlyBot respects. Pages that build their tags with JavaScript after loading may also look empty.
Are the results stored?
Results for public pages are cached for a few hours so repeat checks are instant, then they expire. Nothing is linked to you, and no account is needed.
