Story and Reel safe zone checker
Upload a vertical image or a video and see where Instagram Stories and Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Facebook Stories put their buttons, captions and profile bars, so your text and faces stay visible. Files stay in your browser.

Frequently asked questions
What is the safe zone for Instagram Reels?
On a 1080 × 1920 frame, keep roughly the top 220 pixels and the bottom 420 free for the username, caption and audio, and stay clear of about 140 pixels on the right where the buttons sit.
Are safe zones the same for TikTok and YouTube Shorts?
Similar but not the same. TikTok's caption area at the bottom is tall and its buttons run down the right side; Shorts adds a title and subscribe button at the bottom. Check each one if you post everywhere.
Is my video uploaded to check the safe zone?
No. The video plays from your device inside the page, and frames are drawn locally. Nothing is sent to Join Postly or anyone else.
How exact are the safe zone guides?
They follow Meta's published guidance for Stories and Reels and widely used measurements for TikTok and Shorts. Apps change their layouts and phones differ, so keep important text well inside the lines.
