Frequently asked questions

How do you calculate cost per click?

CPC = ad spend ÷ clicks. Spending 120 for 300 clicks gives a CPC of 0.40. Platforms may count clicks differently (link clicks vs all clicks), so use the same type each time.

What is a good cost per click?

One that leaves room for profit: if 1 in 50 clicks buys and each sale earns you 40, you can afford up to 0.80 per click before you lose money. Industry averages vary too much to be a target.

How can I lower my CPC?

Improve how relevant the ad is to the audience and the search, test new images and headlines, narrow away audiences that click but never buy, and make the landing page match the ad.
