Use a screenshot taken on the device type you're showing, so the shape matches: a phone screenshot for the phone frame, a desktop one for the laptop or browser. Fill mode crops any difference.
Can I make a mockup with a transparent background?
Yes. Choose Transparent as the background and the PNG keeps the transparency, ready to place on a website, slide or another design.
