HTTP headers and status code checker

See exactly what a server sends back: the HTTP status code, every response header, the redirect chain and the response time from Cloudflare's network. Security headers such as HSTS, Content-Security-Policy and X-Frame-Options are graded with copy-ready fixes.

Frequently asked questions

What does each HTTP status code group mean?

2xx means success (200 OK), 3xx a redirect (301, 302), 4xx a problem with the request such as a missing page (404) or forbidden (403), and 5xx a server error (500, 502, 503).

Why does the checker show a different status than my browser?

Some servers answer bots differently, block data centre networks (403 or 429), or show a cookie wall. Your browser may also show a cached copy. Check from a private window to compare.

Can I see the request headers that were sent?

The checker sends a standard GET with a JoinPostlyBot user agent, Accept and Accept-Language headers. It shows the response headers the server returned, which is what matters for caching, security and SEO.
