Frequently asked questions
How can a site be down for me but up for everyone else?
Usually it's local: a DNS cache with an old address, a browser extension, a VPN, an office firewall or your internet provider. Try mobile data, a private window or another DNS server such as 1.1.1.1.
Where is the website checked from?
From a Cloudflare data centre, usually the one closest to you. The result shows which one. A site can still be blocked in some countries or networks even when it's up from there.
Why does the checker say the site blocks automated checks?
The server answered 401, 403, 429 or a bot-protection page. The website is online, but it refuses visits from tools like ours, so it may still work in a normal browser.
