Frequently asked questions
Will text in my PNG screenshots stay sharp in the PDF?
Yes. PNGs are stored losslessly in the PDF, so text and lines stay crisp. With Fit image, each page is exactly the screenshot's size, with no scaling.
Does PNG to PDF keep transparency?
Yes. Transparent areas stay transparent in the PDF and show as white in most PDF viewers and when printed.
Why is my PNG-based PDF larger than expected?
PNG is lossless, so detailed images such as photos saved as PNG stay large inside the PDF. For photos, convert to JPG first, or use our image compressor before making the PDF.
