Frequently asked questions
Where do I find a website's sitemap?
Most sites list it in robots.txt (a Sitemap: line) or use /sitemap.xml or /sitemap_index.xml. Enter just the domain and we'll check those places for you.
Does the extractor follow sitemap index files?
Yes. A sitemap index lists other sitemaps; we read up to five of them per check, and tell you when the site has more.
What can I do with a sitemap URL list?
Check status codes in bulk, compare with your analytics, plan redirects for a migration, or find pages that shouldn't be indexed.
