CMS checker: which platform is this site on?
Check which CMS or website builder a site runs on: WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Drupal, Joomla and many more. Enter the address and see the platform, its version when shown, and the clue it was detected from.
How to use the Website Technology Checker
- 1Enter the website's address, such as example.com.
- 2See the main platform first, such as WordPress, Shopify or Wix, with its version when the site shows it.
- 3Browse every technology by category, each with the clue we found it from.
- 4Copy the list or share the result link.
Frequently asked questions
How can I tell if a website uses WordPress?
WordPress sites usually load files from /wp-content/ or /wp-includes/ and often carry a WordPress generator tag. This checker looks for those clues and names the version when it's visible.
Is a Shopify store easy to detect?
Yes, nearly always: Shopify serves themes and images from cdn.shopify.com and sends Shopify-specific headers, which this checker recognises.
What if the CMS checker finds nothing?
The site may be custom-built, use a headless CMS that leaves no trace, or hide its platform. Frameworks such as Next.js or Nuxt still often show up in the full results.
