Hosting and IP lookup
Find out where a website is hosted. We resolve the site's IP address, then look up the network that owns it in the regional internet registry's RDAP data and its ASN. If the site sits behind a CDN such as Cloudflare, we say so plainly.
How to use the Hosting & IP Lookup
- 1Enter a website (example.com) or an IPv4 address.
- 2Read the IP address, the network that owns it, the ASN and the country the IP block is registered in.
- 3Check the note: a CDN or proxy hides the real server, while a cloud or host name usually is the hosting company.
- 4Copy the share link to send the result on.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the lookup say the site is on Cloudflare?
Many sites put Cloudflare (or another CDN) in front of their server for speed and protection. Visitors only see the CDN's addresses, so the real host can't be found from DNS. That's by design.
Is the country shown where the server is?
It's the country the IP block is registered in, which is often but not always where the server stands. Large networks use addresses from one registry all over the world.
What is an ASN?
An autonomous system number identifies one network on the internet, such as a hosting company, cloud provider or ISP. It tells you whose network an IP address belongs to.
