Frequently asked questions
Is the Join Postly Score the same as Domain Authority?
No. Domain Authority is Moz's own metric and only Moz can calculate it. The Join Postly Score is our score, built from our crawl and the open Common Crawl web graph, so the numbers won't match DA, DR or any other tool.
How is the Join Postly Score calculated?
We run PageRank over the links between hosts in the Join Postly Index and blend it with an authority value from the Common Crawl domain graph (harmonic centrality). Our own graph counts for more as it grows, up to half of the score.
Why does my site have no Join Postly Score?
Neither our index nor the Common Crawl release we import has enough links to the site yet. That's normal for new or rarely linked sites. Scores appear after the next index update once other sites link to you.
What is a good Join Postly Score?
The scale is logarithmic: top sites on the web reach 70+, well-known brands 50+, and most small business sites sit between 5 and 30. Compare yourself with competitors in your niche rather than with the whole web.
