Frequently asked questions

What resolution gives the best quality JPG from a PDF?

300 DPI is print quality: an A4 page becomes 2480 × 3508 pixels. 150 DPI (1240 × 1754) is already sharp on phones, laptops and most screens, and the files are about four times smaller.

Why does my high-quality JPG still look blurry?

If the PDF itself contains a low-resolution scan or photo, rendering at a higher DPI can't add detail that isn't there. Vector text and drawings, on the other hand, stay razor sharp at any DPI.

Is 300 DPI free?

300 DPI comes with Join Postly Pro. The free converter goes up to 150 DPI, with the same 95% JPEG quality and every other setting.
