What does DPI mean when converting a PDF to images?
Dots per inch: how many pixels each inch of the page gets. 72 DPI suits screens and quick previews, 150 DPI is sharp for most uses, and 300 DPI is print quality. An A4 page is 1240 × 1754 pixels at 150 DPI and 2480 × 3508 at 300 DPI.
