Domain age checker

Find out how old a domain is. We ask the registry's official RDAP server, the modern replacement for WHOIS, for the registration date, expiry date, registrar, status and nameservers. Owner contact details stay private and are never shown.

Frequently asked questions

How do you find a domain's age?

We look up the domain in the registry's RDAP service and read its registration event. RDAP is the official, structured successor of WHOIS run by the registries themselves.

Does domain age help SEO?

Not directly: Google has said domain age itself isn't a ranking factor. Older domains often rank well because they've had years to earn links and content, which is what really counts.

Why can't I see the owner's name and email?

Most registries redact personal data under privacy laws like GDPR, and we don't show contact details even when they're published. To reach an owner, use the registrar's contact form or the site itself.

Why does it say the registry has no RDAP data?

A few country-code registries don't run an RDAP server yet. For those, check the registry's own website.
