Frequently asked questions
What's the best fps for a GIF made from an MP4?
10–15 frames per second looks smooth for most clips while keeping the file small. Use 20–25 only for very short, fast-moving clips.
Can I convert an iPhone video to GIF?
Yes, if your browser can play it. iPhone videos are usually MOV or MP4 files that Safari and Chrome can open; HEVC videos may need Safari or a recent Chrome.
Will the GIF keep the sound from my MP4?
No. The GIF format has no sound at all. If you need audio, share the video itself or schedule it as a Reel or short.
