How to use the YouTube Title, Description & Tags Generator

How long should a YouTube description be?

Up to 5,000 characters are allowed. Aim for at least 200–300 words on tutorials and reviews: the first 1–2 lines (about 157 characters) show in search and above "more", so put the main keyword and promise there.

How do I add chapters to a YouTube video?

List timestamps in the description, starting with 0:00, each followed by a title, with at least three chapters of 10 seconds or more, for example "0:00 Intro". YouTube turns them into chapters automatically.

Do hashtags in a YouTube description help?

Up to three hashtags show above your title, which helps viewers find related videos. More than 15 and YouTube ignores all of them, so keep it to a few relevant ones.
