Frequently asked questions

How much of a Facebook post shows before "See more"?

Roughly the first 480 characters, or fewer when the post has several line breaks. On phones, posts with a photo are cut even sooner, so put the main point in the first two lines.

What image size works best for a Facebook post?

1200 × 630 px for landscape images and 1080 × 1350 px (4:5) for portrait images, which take up more of the feed on phones.

Is the Facebook preview exactly what my followers will see?

It's a close mock-up of the current feed layout, not a screenshot from Facebook. Fonts and spacing differ slightly between the app, the website and each phone.
