Rotate an image online
Turn a photo 90 or 180 degrees, or straighten a tilted horizon with a fine slider from -45 to 45 degrees. The preview updates as you go, empty corners can be cropped off or filled, and the rotated image is saved to your device without being uploaded.
How to use the Crop, Rotate & Flip Image
- 1Choose a photo from your device. It is opened in your browser and stays on your device.
- 2Rotate in quarter turns, straighten with the slider or flip it horizontally or vertically.
- 3Pick an aspect preset (or Free) and drag the crop box or its corners to frame the picture.
- 4Choose the format and quality, then download the edited image.
Frequently asked questions
Why does my photo show sideways after I upload it?
Phones often save photos sideways with a note (EXIF orientation) telling apps to turn them. Some sites ignore the note. Rotating here saves the pixels the right way up, so it shows correctly everywhere.
How do I straighten a crooked horizon?
Use the Straighten slider and line the horizon up with the grid, usually within a few degrees. Then crop slightly to remove the empty corners the turn creates.
Does rotating an image make it blurry?
Quarter turns (90°, 180°, 270°) are lossless moves of pixels. Small-angle straightening has to blend neighbouring pixels, which softens the image very slightly.
