How to use the Signature Maker

Frequently asked questions
Is a signature image legally binding?
Often it can show you agreed to something, but it isn't a certified or qualified electronic signature: there's no identity check or tamper-proof seal. For contracts that need one, use an e-signature service that provides an audit trail.
Is my signature uploaded anywhere?
No. The drawing and the PNG are made in your browser and saved straight to your device. Typed styles load a handwriting font from Google Fonts, but your name is never sent with that request.
Why does my drawn signature look smoother than what I drew?
The tool thins out tiny jitters and draws curves through your pen points, and the line gets slightly thinner when you move fast, like real ink. The shape of your signature stays yours.
How do I add a transparent signature to a PDF or Word document?
In Word or Google Docs, insert the PNG as a picture and set it to sit in front of the text. In a PDF editor, use the add image or stamp option. The transparent background lets the signature sit on a line.
