How to use the QR Code Generator

  1. 1Choose what the code should open: a link, text, Wi-Fi, email, phone, SMS or WhatsApp.
  2. 2Fill in the details. The preview updates as you type.
  3. 3Pick colours and, if you like, upload a logo. Error correction is raised automatically so the code still scans.
  4. 4Test the code with your phone camera, then download it as PNG for print and social, or SVG for any size.

Frequently asked questions

Do these QR codes expire?

No. They're static codes: the link or text is stored in the pattern itself, so they keep working forever and don't depend on Join Postly or any redirect service.

Can I put a logo in the middle of a QR code?

Yes. When you add a logo the generator switches to the highest error correction level (H), which can rebuild about 30% of the code, and keeps the logo small enough not to break scanning. Always test it before printing.

Which colours can I use for a QR code?

Keep a dark pattern on a light background with strong contrast. Light-on-dark and low-contrast codes fail on many phone cameras, so the tool warns you when the contrast is too low.

PNG or SVG: which download should I use?

SVG is a vector file that stays sharp at any size, best for print and design tools. PNG is best for social posts, documents and websites. The PNG here is made at the size you pick, up to 2,048 pixels.

Is my Wi-Fi password sent anywhere?

No. The QR code is generated in your browser, so the network name and password stay on your device.
