DMARC record checker
Check a domain's DMARC record: the policy (none, quarantine or reject), the percentage it applies to and where reports are sent, with the step-by-step path from monitoring to full protection against spoofing.
How to use the Email Deliverability Checker
- 1Enter the domain you send email from (or paste an email address).
- 2Read the checks: each one is good, worth improving or a problem to fix, with the exact change to make.
- 3Compare the SPF, DMARC and DKIM records shown with what your email provider asks for.
- 4Make the changes in your DNS settings, wait a few minutes and check again.
Frequently asked questions
Which DMARC policy should I start with?
Start with p=none and a rua= address to collect reports. When the reports show all your real mail passing SPF or DKIM, move to p=quarantine, then p=reject.
What does a DMARC rua address do?
Receivers send daily summary reports there, showing which servers sent mail as your domain and whether it passed. Use a mailbox or a DMARC report service; the files are XML.
Do subdomains need their own DMARC record?
No. Without their own record, subdomains follow the main domain's DMARC (and its sp= policy if set). This checker shows when a policy is inherited.
