Twitter (X) card checker
Check how a link will look when it's posted on X. The checker reads twitter:card, twitter:title and twitter:image, falls back to Open Graph tags the way X does, and shows a large or small card preview with fixes.
How to use the Open Graph & Social Preview Checker

- 2Switch between Facebook, LinkedIn, X and WhatsApp to see each link card and its warnings.
- 3Edit the title, description or image URL to try fixes; the previews update as you type.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between summary and summary_large_image?
summary shows a small square thumbnail next to the title, while summary_large_image shows a wide image above the link. Most sites use summary_large_image with a 1200×600 or 1200×630 image.
Does X use Open Graph tags if Twitter tags are missing?
Yes. X falls back to og:title, og:description and og:image when the twitter: versions are missing, but it still needs a twitter:card tag to choose the card type.
Is there still an official Twitter Card Validator?
X removed the preview from its Card Validator in 2022. To see a card now you post the link, or use a checker like this one that reads the same tags.
