Why doesn't my link show a preview on WhatsApp?

WhatsApp needs og:title and og:image in the page's HTML, a public https:// image, and an image file that isn't too large: about 300 KB is a commonly reported limit. Pages that block bots or need a login show no preview.

Can I change a WhatsApp link preview after sending?

Not for messages already sent. WhatsApp builds the preview when the message is written, so fix the tags first and send the link again.

Does WhatsApp show a large or small image?

It depends on the image: wide images of 300 pixels or more usually show as a large banner, and small or square images as a thumbnail next to the title.
