How to use the Giveaway Comment Picker
- 1Open your giveaway post, select all the comments and copy them (tips for each platform are in the help box).
- 2Paste them into the picker. It finds each commenter's handle, mentions and text, and shows how many entries it read.
- 3Set the rules: one entry per person, minimum tagged friends, a required keyword or hashtag, and handles to exclude such as your own.
- 4Draw. Winners are revealed one by one with the seed and an audit of what was counted and removed, so you can show the draw was fair.
Frequently asked questions
How do I copy YouTube comments?
Open the video on a computer, scroll until all the comments you want have loaded, then select from the first comment to the last and copy. Sort by Newest first if you want every comment, not just top ones.
Can I pick only comments that contain a keyword?
Yes. Add the keyword or hashtag the giveaway asked for and only comments that include it are eligible. The audit shows how many were left out for missing it.
Does the YouTube picker count replies?
Replies are read like any other comment, so turn on One entry per person if you only want each viewer counted once, however many times they replied.
