TXT record lookup
Look up the TXT records of any domain: SPF, DMARC and domain verification codes for Google, Microsoft, Meta and others. Records are read live from public DNS with their TTL, and you can copy them all as zone-file lines.
How to use the DNS Lookup
- 1Enter a domain such as example.com, or a host name like www.example.com or _dmarc.example.com.
- 2Read each record type with its values and TTL, the time resolvers may cache it.
- 3Switch to Propagation to see whether Cloudflare and Google already return the same values after a change.
- 4Copy the records as zone-file lines, or share the result link.
Frequently asked questions
What are TXT records used for?
Mostly for proving things about a domain: SPF lists who may send its email, DMARC sets the email policy (on _dmarc.yourdomain.com) and services such as Google Search Console, Microsoft 365 and Meta use TXT codes to verify ownership.
Why can't I see my new TXT record?
DNS changes can take from a few minutes to the record's TTL (often an hour) to appear, and longer if the old value was cached. Also check you added it to the right host: @ for the domain itself, or a name such as _dmarc.
Can a domain have more than one TXT record?
Yes, as many as it needs, such as several verification codes. The exception is SPF: there must be only one TXT record starting with v=spf1, or SPF fails.
