DMARC record generator
Create a DMARC record for your domain: choose the policy (none, quarantine or reject), where reports go, a rollout percentage and alignment, and copy the TXT value for _dmarc.yourdomain.com. Then check the published record with the live checker below.
How to use the Email Deliverability Checker
- 1Enter the domain you send email from (or paste an email address).
- 2Read the checks: each one is good, worth improving or a problem to fix, with the exact change to make.
- 3Compare the SPF, DMARC and DKIM records shown with what your email provider asks for.
- 4Make the changes in your DNS settings, wait a few minutes and check again.
Frequently asked questions
Should a new DMARC record start with p=none?
Start with p=none and a report address (rua) to see who sends email as your domain. When the reports show all your real senders pass SPF or DKIM, move to quarantine, then reject.
Where do I add the DMARC record?
As a TXT record on the host _dmarc (so _dmarc.yourdomain.com) in your DNS provider's panel. There should be only one DMARC record per domain.
What does pct mean in a DMARC record?
The percentage of failing mail the policy applies to. pct=25 with p=quarantine sends a quarter of failing messages to spam, a careful way to roll out a stricter policy. Leave it out for 100%.
